The books still have his woman. Parker was married to Lynn
before the series began. He then had a steady girlfriend for
a while who left him. He's been with Claire for quite
awhile--a really long time if you consider the break when
Stark wasn't writing. They aren't married, but refers to
herself as Mrs Parker. He has a house Claire lives in when he
is away, and he returns to. As recently as Backflash the
house and its location is praised because it would be so easy
for him to disappear from it if he had to. Claire even helped
him do research, but its clear the attachment wouldn't deter
his leaving forever if he had to Mark.
