Doug and all,
I posted the original message claiming that cellphones simply
aren't hardboiled. I was posting on the why-I-like-rara-avis
thread. One of the things I find endearing is our penchant
for going round-and-round on the issue of what is or is not
hardboiled. So, I decided I would single out the cellphone as
completely and unequivocally not hardboiled. I didn't guess
-- but should have -- that my comment would take legs and run
off on its own! After all, we are rare birds.
