I remember enjoying *And the Deep Blue Sea* (1971) very much,
though it's been years since I read it. It was an Edgar
nominee in the Best PBO novel category. In fact, I remember
preferring it to the winner, Frank MacAulliffe's *For Murder
I Charge More*, which, aside from not being as good (IMHO),
wasn't a novel but a collection of short stories.
