Doug, I'm pretty much the opposite of your taste when it comes to Westlake. I can't read the Dortmunders, and I pass on most of his humorous caper books. I prefer his dark stuff, particulalry the Stark/Parkers, but also his Tucker Coes, his early paperback originals and his recent The Ax.
