Rex Burn have created Gabriel Wager, Mexican-American detective of the Colorado Police, who debuted in THE ALVAREZ JOURNAL (1975), Edgar first novel winner. There are 11 Wager novels. Wager started as a nark cop but changed to be a homicide cop after several novels.
