Hi Teri,
    You asked Mark (not me) for comment, but I couldn't resist commenting, because I have strong feelings about the earlier and late Williford work. For my money, the Hoke novels are by far his best stuff. Miami Blues, Sideswipe, New Hope For The Dead, and The Way We Die Now, and for my money, the foremost of these is Miami Blues (even the movie was good).
