There is another solution to Bill's problem (maybe for the
rest of you too). Set up the library as a "Collection,"
estimate its worth and persuade your local academic library
that it might become more distinguished if it set up a
special collection area, where you could house your library.
If necessary, you could solicit letters from RARA-AVIS types
to the effect that we would certainly be drawn to such a
library for, uh, research, if it were established (and we
happened to be in the area). From what Bill said earlier,
certain members of the administration owe him too... Nice
thing about the library solution, if worked out, is that you
can then visit and read your own collection.
