Bill, I can but refer you to my earlier comments on NEVER STREET. It's a masterpiece. Walker himself is pretty much the same guy in all of the other books, which is to say an anachronism, but he really shines in NS. Of the Detroit novels, I've read only Whiskey River, and liked it. I've never read any of Estleman's westerns, but given his all-round professionalism it don't seem like you could go wrong. PB
