I've had friends complain about the quality of the transfer (graininess of a dub of a dub of a dub, but they generally warn if this is the case on a particular title and offer upgrades if they find a better source to copy) of some videos bought from www.vsom.com, but I've been extremely happy with everything I've bought from them. Their specialty is clearly exploitation films (both sex and violence) from around the world, but mixed within their catalog are a fair number of crime movies. The deal is they act as a club (you pay a one time membership fee of $5), copying films from their "library" for a fee of $25 ($20, if 5 or more are bought). For this reason, they are only allowed to distribute films which are not currently in print in the US. Of course, this includes a fair amount of film noir, among other things -- for instance, the uncut Kiss Me Deadly had been available from them for years, right up until it was finally released here legitimately.
