Woah podnah!! Here in Texas the accordion as played by the
Tejano and Norteno groups is a revered instrument. Ever hear
of Ramon Ayala? He has millions of fans all over Mexico and
the southwest US. Of course we in Texas have the world famous
Flaco Jiminez here in San Antonio. Flaco, his brother and
their father are renown accordionistas. Listen to the CD Los
Super Seven, which won a Grammy last year. Its
fantastic!
You need to expand your accordion-thinking beyond polkas.
