Oh, blast... Jim Tully was one of five obscure authors I'd
hoped to write a bio of over the next decade, but it seems
that Mark Dawidziak and Paul Bauer have beaten me to it. Put
me down for a copy anyway---maybe two!
For those of you who have not yet experienced him, Tully is
an exceedingly dark and depressing writer, but wonderfully
poetic. For the first-time reader, I'd recommend his classic
"biography" _Beggars of Life_, or any of the stories
originally published in _ The American Mercury_ and collected
as _Shadows of Men_.
