Tanx to you all for steering me toward Payback. The best
hardboiled flick I've seen in some time.
A question: At one time Hollywood always made sure the killer
got his in the end. I think it was part of a morals code they
had to go by. Obviously not so anymore.
I can remember when somebody was shot on TV, they always got
it in the shoulder, or maybe the bullet creased their skull.
Never did they die. Then Gunsmoke came on, and Matt Dillon
actually shot somebody dead. All of America came right out
their chairs.
