RARA-AVIS: FOUR CORNERS OF NIGHT

Thu, 13 May 1999 11:37:02 -0500 Did any of you read Craig Holden's new one, FOUR CORNERS OF NIGHT? (And
forgive me it was already discussed earlier this year while I was off the
list.) This is just a fantastic book by a master craftsman. It's not
totally hardboiled, but it is about as noir as you can get. It's a
painfully beautiful and daringly complex novel. Holden's character Bank is
just splendid, and there is a deep dark twist in this one that will make
your jaw drop.

Would love to hear any thoughts.

Best,
David
