: : Is this book informative about the personality of
: : thE author or is it only a description of some
: : episodes of his life?
:
: It is candid, though Willeford could not help making
literature even
: while telling mundane stories.
He also couldn't help telling a yarn, I think. The book
covers his
life up to his teens, focusing in on certain episodes, as I
recall,
but Willeford's personality certainly shows through all of it
and the
reader will get a better idea of what he's like. I agree with
Mario
in recommending it, but don't take it as gospel truth. Don
Herron's
books _Willeford_ would be the natural follow-up to the
two
autobiographies.
