He's very much still with us, and has had a new book in progress for
the past couple of years. He's pretty spry for a guy in his 80s--at
last report was about to sail a new sailboat from Norway to his home in
Connecticut. His first six or eight books are undoubtedly his best, but
there are gems in the later work, too.
