More Edgar trivia. Ambler won the Edgar for Best/Critical
Biographical
Work for that autobiography. It was his second. He won his
first for *The
Light of Day* which the MWA named the Best Mystery Novel of
1963. I
believe he also won two Golden Daggers from the CWA, one for
*Passage of
Arms* in the late 50s, and one for (I believe) *The Levanter*
in the early
