He may have been pretending on the hitman part, but I'm not
sure if the
"psychotic" part isn't accurate. Which, of course, is why I
like the
show. After the first episode, I was a bit afraid that
Kathleen York
would be used to soften him up, but it hasn't happened.
Madsen is one
sick puppy, not that far removed from his character in
Reservoir Dogs
(Mr. Blue?) except that he is now on the side of good. He
still can't
hold his head up straight, though.
Speaking of Madsen, I was in a bookstore recently and saw he
had written
a book, Burning in Paradise. Curious, I picked it up. It was
a book of
poetry. I flipped through and saw something about his seeing
his
reflection in a Zippo lighter while he downed his shot, so I
guess it's
hardboiled poetry. I know I'm going to have to pick this up
eventually.
Has anyone read it? Unfortunately, there is no book on tape,
at least
not so far. I would love to hear them in his gravelly
voice.
