RARA-AVIS: Bouchercon

Tue, 06 Oct 1998 13:29:58 -0500 I finally got back from the Bouchercon about 1:00 A.M. on Monday, after one of those trips that makes me remember why I hate air travel so much. The convention was great fun, though, and I saw several Rara-Avians, including Jim Doherty, Mari Hall, Frank Denton, Ted White, and Ann Theis. Did I miss anyone who was there? Prices of paperback books ranged from the ridiculous ($125 for a copy of Lawrence Blocks novelization of the TV series MARKHAM) to the more reasonable ($4 for a copy of Dan J. Marlowe's THE FATAL FRAILS, the only book in Marlowe's Johnny Killain series that I didn't have. Naturally I snapped it up.)
