The very first McGee is 'The Deep Blue Good-By' (1964).
'Darker Than Amber'
(1966) is number 7. By the way, McGee's first name was
intended to be
Dallas, but the Kennedy assassination made the author
reconsider and name
his hero after a U.S. Air Force Base.
