It's quite possible that Clinton simply likes Mosley. This airing of
Ellroy's professional jealousies in public strikes me as sub-adult (and
uncharacteristic of mystery writers, at least in my experience). I guess
it's Ellroy against everybody else (or a parody thereof, since the man
has a very peculiar sense of humor).
