I ain't the expert that you need, but I am a pretty
fast
researcher. The play is by John Wexley, perhaps better known
these days as a
leftist (author of _The Trial Of Julius And Ethel
Rosenberg_). It appears
the play was a *big* hit. It has been filmed twice, neither
time with
Spencer Tracy. The setting of the film is on death row in
prison and the
action appears to involve a prison break.
