The charactery you're thinking of is Christopher Chance, aka "The
Human Target." Jonny Double was originally conceived as being the
"Disguise Expert/Bodyguard," but that was jetissoned pretty quickly.
Double became DC Comics standard issue tough PI who occasionally
appeared in back-up stories in other character's magazines, and as
gust stars in their stories. For awhile Jonny was even romantically
involved with Wonder Woman. - Jim Doherty
