Not at all. There are a number of people on the list who read a lot
of comics/graphic novels. I've saved most of the messages where
titles are mentioned and hope to get a list together some day so
people who don't know much about the field can have some
recommendations. Perhaps people more knowledgeable could put such a
thing together?

By all means, go ahead.

By the way, you might consider reading some of Charles Willeford's
novels, like _The Burnt Orange Heresy_ and _Miami Blues_. Not only is
he an excellent writer, he liked to give the initials J.F. to some of
his nastier characters. :)
