RARA-AVIS: Leigh Brackett

Sat, 20 Jun 1998 00:14:05 -0400 (EDT) Someone was recently asking about Leigh Brackett's mysteries. In
today's mail I received a notice from Dennis McMillan Publications
(http://www.booksellers.com/dmp) with the following anouncement:

"I have in the works the collected pulp detective fiction of Leigh
Brackett, possibly to include her superb hard-boiled novel No Good from
a Corpse, only reprinted once since it's 1944 original appearance. The
Introduction will be a memoir of Brackett by Ray Bradbury, and it will
have an Afterword by Michael Connelly. Bracket is the best female
hard-boiled writer of all time, and it's a shame her work has been
unavailable for so long, but this volume will remedy that situation.
The print run will be 1,000 copies, price not set, and may include some
special copies signed by Bradbury and Connelly."
