Kent Harrington has an excellent new book out entitled DIA DE
LOS
MUERTOS. It's a Dennis McMillan limited edition but I think
there are
still plenty of copies available through THE MYSTERIOUS
BOOKSHOP and
other venues. Kent wrote the great hardboiled novel DARK RIDE
which came
out in hardcover in 1996 and paper in 1997. Due to the lack of
support
from his publisher (SMP, what else is new?) DARK RIDE was one
of the
most overlooked and underrated books in recent memory. The new
book is
even harder and (if it's possible) better. Both are highly
recommended.
I'm new to the list, so if you have already discussed these
books at
length, my apologies. It will take me a while to get up to
speed.
