RARA-AVIS: Re: Defective Bibliography

Sun, 21 Dec 1997 14:29:58 -0400 Just a note on the Day Keene additions to his bibliography. "Rhapsody in
Blood", which supposedly appeared in the January 1943 Dime Mystery
Magazine, may be listed in the copyright pages of The Defective Detective
in the Pulps anthology, edited by Hoppenstand and Browne, but it doesn't
actually appear in the book. Darn! I was actually looking forward to
digging it out and reading it. No wonder I didn't remember reading it
before-it ain't there!

But since I was there, I did re-read some of thoseold pulp stories. Man,
they just don't write good hemophiliac private eye stories like they used
to!
