On the Cornell Woolrich novels published by Penguin, the covers carry a blurb from Ray Bradbury: "Woolrich deserves to be discovered and rediscovered by every generation." I didn't notice it so much while reading the stories in "Rear Window," but as I read "I Married a Dead Man," it's very obvious that Bradbury's style was very much influenced by Woolrich--the attention to certain types of atmospheric/emotional details, pacing in passages, and in phrasing.--Duane - # RARA-AVIS: To unsubscribe, say "unsubscribe rara-avis" # to majordomo@icomm.ca
