Edna Buchanan, the Pulitzer Prize winning crime reporter from Miami is fairly
hardboiled.
 
Wendy Hornsby, whose series character Maggie MacGowen is a documentary
filmmaker involved with an LAPD cop is tough as nails and bawdy to boot.
 
Vicki Hendricks' first novel MIAMI PURITY is an absolute scorcher.  Rarely
does one come across a female protagonist such as the one found within these
pages who is as hormonally driven as your typical male noir fall guy.
